There are some things to like about Retold but the tone is really off in a lot of places. People say Eggman in the Archie comics went too far. This is taking things into maximum overdrive. It’s in character for Archie Sonic, cause he’s always been an egocentric spoiled narcissist. Ian actually did a bumblekast, I think it was in September 2020, where he acknowledged he didn’t like how Sonic had been written up to that point, but tried to keep the personality more or less the same anyway until Reboot because it wasn’t his comic and he can’t just do a complete 180 of what had come before.
It’s definitely out of character for Archie Tails though. Guy literally skipped continents in his mini after he felt miffed at Sonic. No fucking way he goes back to ass-kissing after Sonic’s tremendous display of faggotry here, trying to get his parents killed and telling them Tails doesn’t love them.

Knowing him, probably just really glad a fan-comic has Rotor at all. Most fan-comics consider the FFs, but I really don't know any who focus solely or exclusively on Rotor for the sake of that. I don't think the poor guy even had any revealing plans to get his own SU arc, like Sally and Nicole did.
