Child of the Green Hill archive
A companion piece to Child of the Green Hill, and covering Kintobor’s adventures as a young scientist, ovikintobor.wordpress.com is sadly no more. This page serves as a translated archive of the original blog.

Gerald Robotnik
Grandson of Professor Robotnik (for The Story of Ovi) — by Liris — 2015
His identity is still unclear to me. The more I learned about my grandfather, the more I didn’t understand who he was as a person.
He had an extremely bad relationship with my father, so for a long time I could not even count on learning anything about him from my parents. People who once worked for ARK, whom I managed to contact in my youth, helped clarify a lot.

Maria
Portrait of Maria — Liris — 2015
She was about 2 years old when her parents, Gretta and Arthur Robotnik, died as a result of a long illness.
An outbreak of neuroimmunodeficiency syndrome (N.I.D.S.) occurred in the 40s and killed thousands of people. Then it subsided as suddenly as it had begun. However, no cure or vaccine has been created against this deadly disease. Nature N.I.D.S. remained unexplored.
I know that from the moment Maria was born, grandfather was already thinking through options for saving the girl.

Old diary
The Visit of GUN
“They came like silent black shadows.
Having unceremoniously crossed the threshold of our house, several armed men appeared in front of my parents, handing them some papers. Silence fell. Not understanding what was happening, I hysterically grabbed my mother’s hand, but was led into the next room. I heard their heavy voices in response to the timid questions of my parents, and a shiver ran through me just from their sound.

Distant childhood
So, 23 years have passed since the day when the naive Ovi Kintobor experienced the temper of the Echidna guard. He did not regret his meeting at all: upon returning home, Ovi enthusiastically told his parents about it and was even upset, considering that out of the entire trip, both father and mother noticed only his injured hand. We lived in a small house on quiet Kariotova Street in Fainne Ore, where they moved from Maritima in 1958.

Guardian of Angel Island
For a long time now I have found myself treating Angel Island as a living being. In my youth, he reminded me of a mythical beast sailing through the sky, on whose back a wide variety of cultures and civilizations found their home. And although they are all long gone, this land continues to live. You feel it every time you step on it. In its depths the Island keeps its most important secret, which we will probably never reveal.

First page
March 21, 1995
The most difficult stage in working on ROCC is behind me, so I’ll still devote a few evenings to this notebook. I promised myself to make such a trip for a long time. Despite the fact that on these pages I will go straight into the past, partly for me this path will be new. Many years ago, long before the events that cut short my past life, I also kept a travel diary.
