Scourge and the Suppression Squad have been enjoying their victory but that will be cut short by Metal Sonic’s appearance. Does Scourge need help? Well, he’ll get it whether he likes it or not but Metal Sonic will also be getting some help! Meanwhile, Knuckles is still wracked with guilt and confused. Probably not very at all. I think it would only take losing Sally or the other Freedom Fighters for him to completely snap.

The closest to a "completely incorruptible" Sonic may very well be either Game or Wachowski.

It's more that Scourge's parents were too busy helping run the kingdom than their complete absence. The fact that they never made their kid a priority is one of the main reasons Scourge killed them and destroyed the kingdom. Archienic more or less grew up without parents too, so I don't think it'd be an issue for Gamenic

Scourge backed off because he literally CAN'T afford to murder a version of his dad who loves his son or vice versa. I think that's probably a big contributor to why he's so determined to convert Sonic over to his view - to not only validate his behavior, but give him a friend who shares his views and can make up for what he never got.

Ian: No, it was meant to be a bit of a red herring reaction though. I don't remember now if we got a chance to spell it out or if it was meant to be inferred, it's been so long now, but basically Sonic was just so flabbergasted at how stupid an offer that was that he was at a loss for words. Scourge is so lost in his own world view that he honestly thinks he can make that kind of offer to Sonic. Sonic's just like "I-uh, how could you..no! You're an idiot.", but he never got that far.
