Today we’re diving into the Niven Zone, a Sonic AU where Sonic, Tails, and Amy work and live with Jet, Wave, and Storm. I hope you like dense lore, intricate designs, and chaotic fun! There’s not much order to these but after a while you’ll get a feel for how things are.

For me the who thing that make an AU interesting is how the OG character integrate with it and are adapted. I see the lore as a challenge/cool factor to be applied to those characters.

Once again, I must go with my usual answer of "Please just make your own original IP so you can monetize it.". Always a damn shame to see so much imagination wasted on literal fanfiction. Fanfic is practice material. Save the shit you're passionate about for something you'll own.

Also, I fuckin' love me some lore. Just as long as it doesn't get out of hand and overtake everything else.

Why has this form of exposition become less common? Is there some perception that it's annoying or something? Cold War ended, we didn't "need" to go to space anymore, so governments start slashing funding, which caused some accidents which caused more fund slashing and now all the infrastructure we used to get up there in the first place is inoperable. Unfortunately that's the way of things. There's so many interesting comics that are either incomplete or completely missing. Pic related was the most popular Sonic comic in 2001 and I was only able to retrieve about half of it. There's almost no information on it either and I don't even know how many issues there are. Even worse, they made another comic called Ultimate Shadow that was supposed to be even more popular and I can't find a single image of it
