Indeed. I actually liked Iron Dominion, but having re-read it during the last Ride, it's got some issues. Iron Nicole is such a contrivance, and led to all that bullshit with Mina.

I'm perfectly fine with her. She's a good contrast to him and functions well in her role. Rediscovered Frontiers really makes me feel bad for her though.

This is probably (one) of the most autistic things that I will ever post. My canon is that Mobians are fully dressed when they around humans or in their cities. It's true that the Ancients were supposed to be the original cast, but Sega got mega-upset so it was reduced to an implication. I can kinda see their point, since it meant the entire cast is dead. They also weren't going to let anyone tell (any) Sonic's origin story. The idea that it's the same Shadow would be really interesting. Seeing this group of strangers taking on the names and roles of his friends would perfectly explain why he was so pissed at Sonic and friends.

Given the original plan was literally for the Boom Ancients to have been the entire OG cast, then this probably would have been the case. And it would have given Boom Shadow some much needed character depth - he's lived long enough for all his old friends to be long dead and forgotten, and now there's this new group looking and acting as they did, even taking on their names and identities.
