>>136948278>>136948404>>136948476A lot of Bean's problems come from having too many ideas and clearly chafing at trying to keep them all separate or limiting themselves to one concept/AU at a time. It's why they burn out so astronomically and horrifically quickly. You can even note the downward spiral with how quickly and frequently we got updates to Future seen the AU was still new and fresh in their mind, but it marginally (albeit noticeably) slowed down as they expanded the setting of that continuity with side comics - which kept engagement up, but only for a little while. Then things progressively slowed to a snails crawl as they got more and more non-Future AUs they wanted to do, until eventually they almost stopped doing Future entirely in favor of their other AUs until even those stopped updating.
In comparison, you can clearly see with the Toon stuff that because they can shove in literally whatever the hell they want in there, they're having a lot more fun with it and are keeping it going for far longer. Bean's stuff last its longest when Bean can just freely add whatever to it and I'm not sure this is something they've even noticed.
