Knuckles' survival depends on how high up the fog is manifesting and if the Master Emerald can somehow repel it. Angel Island typically isn't floating high enough to completely evade something like this.

Well, beyond "choosen one" if Nymph never outlasted their mother, there wouldn't be much room for a next generation, wouldn't it.

Pretty sure Nymphs surviving the death of their mother tree is a rare phenomenon that still happens nevertheless and Z is set to become a new mother tree herself.
